Payment Methods and Conditions
When booking through the Discoveries website, you must make immediate payment of the total amount of your reservation. However, if you prefer, you can contact [email protected] and obtain the following conditions:
- Payment via Link at the time of booking confirmation
- Payment of the remaining 50% up to 10 days before arrival in Portugal

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must contact us immediately. Canceling a booking with Discoveries Portugal Tours may be subject to payment of cancellation fees applied by us.

Booking Conditions
- At the time of booking, 50% of the total amount will be paid, the remaining 50% will be paid on the start date of the service (up to 5 days before in the case of payments by bank transfer, link or paypal). Or make full payment in advance when booking.
- In the case of reservations made less than 5 days in advance of the date of the service, payment of 100% of the total value of the service must be made at the time of reservation.
- In case of cancellation of a reservation already paid (50% of the total value), up to 48 hours in advance of the service start date, 50% of the amount paid for the reservation will be refunded (50% of the value total). If cancellation is made later, there will be no refund.
- Payment can be made using the following methods: bank transfer, link or paypal.
- Smoking inside Discoveries Portugal Tours vehicles, as well as drinking alcoholic beverages, is strictly prohibited.
- The consumption of drinks (non-alcoholic) and food inside vehicles requires prior authorization from the driver.
- Discoveries Portugal Tours is not responsible for delays caused by unrelated situations, such as: traffic queues, bad weather, road accidents, police control operations, etc.
- It is expressly mandatory to use a seat belt, as well as the use of special seats for transporting children/babies, provided by Discoveries Portugal Tours.
- In the case of large luggage or any special sports equipment (golf, surfing, bodyboarding, skiing, etc.), Discoveries Portugal Tours must be informed of its dimensions at the time of booking, in order to assess the respective conditions of transport. In these cases, an additional baggage fee may be charged, taking into account its size. The company is responsible for luggage under legal terms, namely loss or damage caused by the vehicle during transport.
- Transporting luggage to and from the vehicle is the passenger's responsibility.
- The company and the driver are not responsible for any objects missing or left in the vehicle. – However, objects found in the vehicle are kept by the company for 90 days and can be claimed by the respective owner.
- In the Airport Transfer service, the Discoveries Portugal Tours driver will be identified, at the arrivals location (airport/station/port), with an A4 white rectangular sign, inscribed with the name of the waiting customer. The Estimate is made based on data provided by the customer (Subsequent changes subject to updated values); Costs for traveling the vehicle and driver to the route in question; Expenses for empty vehicle and driver; Expenses with tolls and parks, with exceptions to be indicated; VAT at the legal rate in force in the national territory (6%);
- The Budget Proposal is valid for 30 days. Acceptance by the customer is only considered – after the proposal is duly signed and returned to Discoveries Portugal Tours services. The booking confirmation requires acceptance by Discoveries Portugal Tours, being subject to the availability of the vehicle, for the requested date, and only becoming effective with a response via the same means. If at the time of booking the company does not have its own vehicles to carry out the service in question – it may resort to subcontracting the service, guaranteeing conditions equivalent to the proposal presented.
- Overtime will be charged whenever the expected duration of the service is not met in accordance with the particular conditions of the proposal;
- The expenses of the driver(s), such as meals and accommodation, are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise indicated.
- If the vehicle in transit suffers a breakdown, which cannot be repaired in time (03:00) for the journey to continue, the company will look for another one to replace it.
- The contracting entity is responsible for any damage caused by passengers to the contracted vehicle.
- The daily driving range (from the beginning to the end of the driver's working day) is 13 hours; 9:00 am is the limit for effective daily driving (10:00 am twice a week); A driving period of 4:30 am requires a break of 45 minutes, which can be continuous or divided into two minimum breaks of 15 and 30 minutes respectively; The driver's daily rest period is 11:00 am (9:00 am three times a week); In case of rental lasting longer than the legal limits imposed, it is mandatory to hire a second driver, with the customer being responsible for the additional cost.
- Failure to comply with the legal timetable provisions by the customer will result in the immobilization of the vehicle, with the customer being responsible for transporting passengers to the destination, as well as all costs associated with such immobilization.
